I have been working as a consultant in Sydney for a number of social enterprises and social change organisations. I have has twenty years experience working as Director and CEO of a number of social development NGOs, social enterprises, and community sector organisations. While the focus of my recent work has been on renewable energy and sustainability, I have also worked on urban renewal and regeneration initiatives for a number of years, in a variety of capacities, ranging from operations and communications to the design, development and implementation of national-level social and economic programs.
Key responsibilities: Facilitating the development of the organisational strategic plan and operational structure for the implementation of a social enterprise focused on medium scale industrial solar energy systems.
Providing direction for The Festival of Democracy: a carnival of talks, lectures, workshops, arts, media, and direct action performance, probing and debating the latest thinking and practical developments concerning the future of democracy and supporting a series of public events
Research into the development of communication approaches for reaching new audiences; managing a workshop for Eastern European Think Tanks; the development and design of a resource to support the visualisation of research data and the development of communication strategies for research projects.
Developing the use of social media, mobile and communications technology, relationship and content management systems, to support a distributive resource platform connecting community organisations ( NGO”s ) to knowledge, skills, resources and development opportunity.
Integration of relationship and knowledge management system to support informed access to public policy resources.
Influence and deliver government policy across a number of economic and social programme areas, through the development of regional network partnerships.
Provide Customised online business management support systems and knowledge management services.
Provide project and relationship management services
Developing accredited strategic planning, funding and investment training provision, to establish an entry level kite mark for the management and governance of social purpose organisations.

Easton Community Renewal Association was established through a partnership with the Easton Renewal Program and local residents comprising people from culturally diverse backgrounds including new migrant and refugee communities. This position involved providing civic challenge and leadership on the development and implementation of renewal programs that would support sustainable development within a community of 30,000 residents. This role involved: organisational and financial planning, the development of organisation-wide management policies, the preparation of budgets, grant applications, the maintenance of sound financial practices, the supervision of 35 full and part-time staff
Managing a team of therapists, providing comprehensive rehabilitation support services to people with mental and physical disabilities, in transit from long-term institutional care into independent living provision. This role included supporting campaigns that promoted a holistic approach to a policy of accessibility in planning for the built environment and the delivery of public services. Managing private and public partnerships, developing investment proposals, services and the provision of supervision for company personnel.
